Marking major DEI moments

Celebrating important days in the cultural calendar plays a vital role in creating a sense of belonging and respect for individuals of all backgrounds, beliefs and experiences. So, in FY2023, we marked a wide variety of significant milestones, using them as an opportunity to reinforce the values of diversity, inclusivity and equitability across our teams.

During Pride Month, we held our first pan-regional panel discussion to bring together employees to engage in meaningful conversations about LGBTQ+ issues. We also celebrated International Women’s Day by immersing young women across the region in the world of automotive development, offering a range of engaging and interactive workshops and guided tours around our plants, R&D centres and offices. Meanwhile, for International Women in Engineering Day, we highlighted the contribution of women across the region, honouring their achievements and re-enforcing our commitment to a gender-balanced workforce.

We also placed a strong emphasis on men’s health throughout the year, seeking to break down stigmas and recognise the importance of addressing physical and mental wellbeing among men in the workplace.
