At Nissan Africa, Middle East, India, Europe, and Oceania (AMIEO), Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is at the heart of everything we do. But we also recognise that building a cleaner, safer, more inclusive world is not a task that can be completed overnight.
Over the last two years, we have invested considerable time, energy and resources into ensuring that each and every one of our nearly 19,000 Nissan AMIEO colleagues has a clear understanding of the importance of DEI to our business and feels engaged in the journey ahead.
Guided by our DEI Manifesto (see page 4), we are now focused on delivering on our vision to create an equitable and inclusive environment for our customers, partners and colleagues alike. And positively, FY2023 saw our teams deliver a range of local DEI actions and initiatives aimed at turning that vision into reality. A selection of these are brought to life in this report.
Of course, we know there is still a lot more work to do. With a strong foundation laid and momentum building, the coming months and years will see us continue expanding our DEI efforts to touch every part of our business - from the way our cars are designed and built to how we celebrate and empower the brilliant diversity of our talent.
The road ahead may be long but we have our foot pressed firmly to the accelerator.
