To mark International Women’s Day, the third and final day of the fair also featured a panel discussion about Women in Engineering in which our Senior Engineer Sarah Dorey discussed her career and how to inspire girls and young women to consider jobs in STEM.
Big Bang STEM Fair
The Nissan Technical Centre Europe (NTCE) opened up the exciting world of STEM at the Big Bang Fair in Birmingham, UK. The three-day event was attended by more than 29,000 students, parents and teachers.
Our stand featured a variety of interactive activities to engage young people, including:
- CAD Laptops demonstrating the vehicle design process
- A Car in a Suitcase depicting the electrical components in the Nissan Qashqai and JUKE
- A screen playing footage of our test facilities in action and the 33 vehicles developed during our 35-year history
