Introduction

Embracing equity

In FY2023, we celebrated Nissan’s 90th anniversary and our rich heritage as a brand brought to life by its people. To mark this milestone, we communicated a series of steps to help us embrace equity, designed to support our goal of fostering a safe and equitable workplace.

From a toolkit designed to tackle unconscious bias head-on, to identifying organisational gaps and providing management training, the campaign outlined the steps Nissan will take to foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected. We also hosted events with a series of thought-provoking external speakers who shared their expertise regarding the importance of equity and emotional agility. This gave colleagues valuable insights and strategies for creating a fair and inclusive workplace where diverse perspectives are not only welcomed but actively celebrated.

The campaign was shared with all AMIEO markets along with ongoing support to adapt it to their local priorities, needs and decision-making processes. Through the campaign, we are committed to building a workplace that champions equity and inclusion, ensuring every team member can thrive and bring their best self to work.
